My name is Francis Asante Nsiah. I am currently a Trainer Assistant as well as a Sign Language interpreter.
What does your everyday working life at AmaliTech look like? For now, my everyday work consists mainly of mentor meetings, code reviews as well as lessons. These lessons can either be live class sessions or recorded videos to assist the trainees in understanding certain concepts and in working on individual projects. Furthermore, I sometimes act as a product owner for group projects to enable trainees to follow the Scrum process. In addition, I manage the assets of the Training Centre as well.
What do you like best about working at AmaliTech? I appreciate the opportunity for personal development – AmaliTech is providing an opportunity for every team member to upskill. This has allowed me to upskill quickly whiles on the job. Also, I like the fact that AmaliTech doesn’t discriminate and is always willing to work with persons with disability. Moreover, I appreciate the health benefits and remote work.
What are your personal/professional goals (at AmaliTech)? To improve my digital skills to be able to impact hearing-impaired persons. Hence, I’m extracting my goals from AmaliTech’s mission –empowering the next generation of technology leaders in Africa by including persons with disability.
